Armstrong Optical on Stand C44

Axetris – broad band solid state IR sources

Armstrong Optical will have on their stand samples of the Axetris broad band IR source.   This is a novel solid state device emitting radiation from 2 to 16 um.   The device has the advantage over traditional filament based sources in that it can be modulated upto 30 Hz(50% duty cycle), giving the opportunity to use synchronous detection systems to increase analyte sensitivity.  The long life spans of over 43,000 hours low power consumption and ruggedness make this an ideal OEM gas sensor.

Applications for the device include IR gas detection (eg. CO, CO2, NOX, SOX as well as organic compounds such as carbon tetrachloride, alkanes, alkenes, and alcohols).

Other Axetris micro-optics products as well as Armstrong Optical’s extensive range of non contact optical metrology components will also be on show.
